June 9, 2008 Apple announces the release date for the iPhone 3G      Great news came to iPhone lovers when this Monday CEO Steve Jobs announced the release date of the iPhone 3G to be July 11 and its new features that were much wanted on the original device. We are looking at GPS capabilities, broadband speeds, and the price tag starting at $199.       In related news, the original iPhone is getting a much needed major software upgrade in its next version 2.0. This introduces applications, MobileMe, better e-mail management with attachment support, additional language support, and  a neat scientific calculator
